PAIR ARRESTED FOR METHAMPHETAMINE AND WITH INTENT TO MANUFACTURE

On January 18, 2017, Tishomingo deputies stopped a vehicle traveling on CR 958, due to a complaint of the subjects inside the vehicle, fighting. Deputies spoke to both occupants of the vehicle which stated that they were in a dispute. Neither had a license, and the driver Tabatha Grey had a WARRANT in Plantersville, Mississippi and was placed under arrest. The passenger, Billy Joe Thornton was on probation in Alabama and did not have a travel permit to be in Mississippi.
A search of their truck turned up several bags of METHAMPHETAMINE. Deputies followed up, and went to a residence that the two just moved into. A SEARCH of the residence turned up several precursors used to manufacture METHAMPHETAMINE. Both were transported to the Tishomingo County Jail, and charged with possession of two or more precursors with intent to manufacture a controlled substance (METHAMPHETAMINE), along with FELONY possession of METHAMPHETAMINE, enhanced due to being in close proximity of a firearm.
- BILLY JOE THORNTON, 34-year-old, white male of 1252 HWY 25 Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged with POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) AND POSSESSION OF PRECURSORS W/INTENT TO MANUFACTURE and had his bond set at $10,000.00 by Justice Court.
- TABITHA GREY, 34-year-old, white female of 1252 HWY 25 Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged with POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) AND POSSESSION OF PRECURSORS W/INTENT TO MANUFACTURE and had her bond set at $5,000.00 by Justice Court.
