TISHOMINGO SHERIFF DEPUTIES CONDUCT NUMEROUS FELONY DRUG ARRESTS

Patrol Deputies for the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department have made multiple arrests over the last five (5) days in regards to traffic violations leading to FELONY DRUG ARRESTS. Here are those arrests:

On December 2, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department deputies stopped a vehicle in the Belmont area of Improper Equipment and Careless Driving, with assistance provided by the Belmont Police Department as well. After speaking with the driver, the deputies were able to get a Consent to Search of the vehicle, where alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was found in the back-seat passengers sock. That person was immediately arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail. While in-route to the jail, the deputies learned that the arrestee attempted to hide more alleged METHAPHETAMINE on his person.
ROBERT HOLLEY, 50-year-old, white male of 424 CR 16 Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). HOLLEY’s bond was set by Justice Court at $3,500.00.

On December 3, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department deputies observed a vehicle having trouble on HWY 25 South in the Dennis area. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot of a local business with the deputy right behind them. The deputy was able to speak with both the driver and passenger who stated that the steering on the vehicle was causing trouble. The deputy observed both the driver and passenger was acting nervous, and at this point the deputy asked did either one of them have anything illegal on them or in the vehicle. Both informed the deputy that they did not and the driver of the vehicle gave the deputy Consent to Search the vehicle. During the course of the search, the deputy found a large bag of alleged METHAMPHETMAINE under the passenger side seat. Both the driver and passenger denied possession, so they were both transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
MARLON SMITH, 21-year-old, white male of 1099 HWY 25 South, Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). SMITH, who was the driver of the vehicle, had his bond set by Justice Court at $3,500.00.
CHRISTOPHER BROAD, 24-year-old, white male of 47 Natchez Street, Tishomingo, Mississippi was also officially charged with FELONY POSSESSIOIN OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). BROAD, who was the passenger of the vehicle, had his bond set by Justice Court at $3,500.00

Also on December 3, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the area of CR 169 in reference to a suspicious car sitting in someone’s driveway. When the deputies arrived on scene, they observed a white female sitting in her vehicle. The deputy was able to speak with the driver, who informed the deputy that she was looking for another road. The deputy observed the driver to be under the influence of some type of narcotic and asked the driver to step out of the vehicle. When the driver stepped out, the deputy observed a “meth pipe” where she was sitting. At this time the driver was placed under arrest for drug paraphernalia and a search of the vehicle yielded some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE being found in the purse of the driver. The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
JENIA TACKETT, 28-year-old, white female, of 56 CR 216 Corinth, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) as well as POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. TACKETT’s FELONY bond was set by Justice Court at $3,500.00

On December 5, 2016 Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR172 just west of Iuka. The driver of the vehicle did not have a driver’s license so the deputy asked the passenger of the vehicle did they have a driver’s license, to which the passenger did not have a valid license. The deputy asked the driver for Consent to Search which the driver gave. While checking the driver, the deputy found a bag of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE in the front pocket of the driver. The passenger did not have anything illegal on them. At this time the driver was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
CECIL KILLOUGH, 57-year-old, white male, of 35 CR 442 Rienzi, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). KILLOUGH’s bond was set by Justice Court at $10,000.00

Also on December 5, 2016 Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a vehicle that was in the ditch on a county road right outside the city limits of Iuka. When the deputies made contact with the vehicle, no one was around the vehicle. The tag information came back to someone that lived in the city limits of Iuka and the deputies went to the residence to see if they could speak with the owner of the vehicle. Once the deputies arrived at the vehicle owner’s residence, they made contact with the owner there at the residence. The deputies immediately smelled a strong odor of alleged MARIJUANA and asked the owner of the residence would they Consent to a Search of their property. The homeowner gave the deputies consent and also informed the deputies that he did in fact have some alleged MARIJUANA inside the residence. The deputies were able to recover several bags of alleged MARIJUANA throughout the residence and the homeowner was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
TEDDY JOE DOOLEY, JR., 27-year-old, white male, of 1000 North Pearl Street Apt #4A Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (MARIJUANA). DOOLEY’s bond was set by Justice Court at $5,000.00

And finally, on December 5, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle that was traveling on HWY 72 in the Burnsville area with one head light and a seatbelt violation. The deputies were able to stop the vehicle and asked the driver was there anything illegal in the vehicle. The driver informed the deputies that “It was possible and if so, it would be in a silver package”. The deputies found the bag as described by the driver along with another bag that contained some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE. The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
SONYA FLANAGAN-MCKINSEY, 32-year-old, white female, of 349 HWY 365 South Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). FLANAGAN-MCKINSEY’s bond was set by Justice Court at $5,000.00
