THREE ARRESTED FOR SEX CRIMES AGAINST A MINOR

The Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office has been conducting an investigation into alleged sexual offenses that involved a 13-year-old female.  Investigators determined with an investigation involving the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services (MDCPS) and the Belmont Police Department, that 3 separate men had been involved in the alleged offenses.  Sheriff investigators as well as the Belmont Police Department were involved in this case due to the alleged offenses occurring in both the city limits of Belmont and outside the city limits in the southern area of Tishomingo County. 

BOBBY REX CUNNINGHAM, 30-year-old, white male of Alice Lane Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged by both Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office as well as the Belmont Police Department for: 3 counts of MOLESTING/FONDLING FOR LUSTFUL PURPOSES and 2 counts of SEXUAL BATTERY.

JEREMY DUANE GAINES, 26-year-old, white male of 28 Jefferson Street Burnsville, Mississippi was officially charged with: MOLESTING/FONDLING FOR LUSTFUL PURPOSES.

JACOB AARON ADAMS, 30-year-old, white male of 16B Johnson Drive Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with: 2 counts of MOLESTING/FONDLING FOR LUSTFUL PURPOSES and 1 count of COMPUTER LURING (UNDER 18) FOR SEXUAL PURPOSES.

These individuals will be presented to the next available Grand Jury and more individuals may be arrested due to the nature of the case.  Sheriff Daugherty would also like to thank the Belmont Police Department for their part in this case as well.
