SHOOTING LEADS TO ARREST OF IUKA MAN

On August 29, 2019, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on CR 196 in regards to someone shooting into a residence. Deputies arrived and spoke with the homeowner and learned that the residence was occupied by four people at the time of the shooting. Deputies secured the scene and determined that the shooter was located in the area of CR 427. Deputies learned that the shooter lived at 15 CR 427 and went to the residence. Once law enforcement arrived, the shooter came to the door with a weapon and after a short standoff with law enforcement, deputies were able to make an arrest and secure the weapons. The shooter was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
MICAH BRANDON BIVINS, 34-year-old, white male of 15 CR 427 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with SHOOTING INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING. BIVINS’ bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $500,000. Further investigation will continue with this case due to the nature of the incident and the weapons involved.
