BURNSVILLE MAN ARRESTED AGAIN FOR DRUGS

On August 22, 2019, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies along with officers for the Burnsville Police Department, responded to a call at 116 Jefferson Street in Burnsville, in reference to an individual there at the residence having an OUTSTANDING WARRANT and also complaints of drugs being sold from the residence. When law enforcement arrived, they were able to identify the individual with the OUTSTANDING WARRANT. During the course of the arrest, deputies searched the residence and found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE as well as other items used to package, weigh, and sale drugs. All these items were located in the living room of the residence. Deputies then transported the individual to the Tishomingo County Jail and once there, the individual attempted to hide some more alleged METHAMPHETAMINE. Deputies along with the Corrections Officers were able to retrieve the alleged METHAMPHETAMINE that was attempted to be destroyed.
BOBBY JOHN VOYLES, 42-year-old, white male of 116 Jefferson Street Burnsville, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE), FELONY TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE, and FELONY INTRODUCING NARCOTICS INTO A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. VOYLES’ bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $15,000. VOYLES’ also is currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) for a prior FELONY drug charge.
