FRANKLIN COUNTY WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

On June 8, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a safety checkpoint at the intersection of CR 71 and CR 82 in the Golden area. While at the checkpoint, a vehicle approached the checkpoint that was occupied by three males and a one female. Deputy’s could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and spoke with the driver and the driver gave the deputy’s consent to search the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, deputies found some drug paraphernalia in a purse that belonged to the female and while placing the female into custody, deputies found a container that the female had that contained two bags of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE. Deputy’s also discovered that the female was attempting to chew up a bag of the alleged METHAMPHETAMINE where the deputies couldn’t get it. The female was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
STEPHANIE MCCARLEY, 45-year-old, white female, of 13929 HWY 23 Vina, Alabama was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE), FELONY TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE. MCCARLEY remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail, awaiting bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court.
