BOONEVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

On March 11, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 30 for Careless Driving. Once the deputies approached the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up needles and deputies learned that the driver did not possess a driver’s license. The driver was then arrested. While in route to the jail, the driver informed the deputies that they had illegal narcotics hid on their person. Once at the jail, a female corrections officer recovered the narcotics from the female.
CASANDRA NICHOLS, 36-year-old, black female of 100 College Street Apartment #5 Booneville, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) W/INTENT TO SELL. NICHOLS’ bond was set by Tishomingo County Justice Court at $2,500.
