SHOPLIFTING IN TISHOMINGO LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

On July 21, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at the Tishomingo One-Stop in Tishomingo, Mississippi. The clerks notified the sheriff’s office of a possible shoplifter that was stealing items in the store. Once the deputies arrived on scene, the confronted the alleged shoplifter and retrieved an item that the shoplifter allegedly stole from the store. Deputies placed the shoplifter under arrest and during a search, found what appeared to be alleged METHAMPHETAMINE as well as PERCOCETS in the pocket of the shoplifter. The shoplifter was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
RANDY EARL JAMES, 59-year-old, white male of 51 Main Street Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and also with FELONY CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (PERCOCET). JAMES’ bond was set by Justice Court in the amount of $25,000.00.
