MULTIPLE FELONY ARRESTS MADE

The Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department would like to announce the following FELONY arrests that were made through the dates of May 19, 2016 – May 27, 2016:
On May 19, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff K9 conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street in Burnsville, Mississippi. During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy asked the driver for Consent to Search to which the driver of the vehicle gave his consent. The deputy used his narcotics dog to assist in the search of the vehicle and the dog alerted to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. A search of the driver yielded several pills of alleged OXYCODONE which was in a clear plastic bag under the driver’s seat. The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail to await charges.
Arrested was Danny Lane Wilson, Jr. of 12 Foot Street Burnsville, Mississippi, 29 year-old, white male, was charged with POSSISON OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (OXYCODONE). A property bond was given by the judge.
On May 22, 2016, Burnsville Police arrested a Timothy Ray Waldrep of 1359 North Pearl Street Iuka, Mississippi, due to a traffic stop that later turned into a FELONY DRUG ARREST. During the course of the arrest, it was discovered that Waldrep may had been involved in another FELONY crime that occurred within Tishomingo County. Later that evening, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Complainant on CR 476 of the Burnsville, Mississippi area where the Complainant stated that someone had burglarized their vehicle and taken large sums of cash from the vehicle.
Timothy Ray Waldrep, 19 year-old, white male, was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail where he was charged by Burnsville Police for Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and by Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department for Burglary of Automobile. Bond was set at $5,000.00 for each charge.
On May 25, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department with help from the United States Marshals service, executed an ALIAS CAPIAS ARREST WARRANT for Harold Barnes. Barnes failed to come to the Tishomingo Circuit Court on May 6, 2016 to answer to the FELONY charge of SALE OF HYDROCODONE. Sheriff John Daugherty asked for the assistance of the U.S. Marshals due to the violent nature of Barnes.
Harold Barnes, 35 CR 989 Iuka, Mississippi, 47 year-old, white male, was successfully brought back into custody after more than two weeks. Barnes is being held without bond.
On May 25, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department again with help from the United States Marshals service, executed an ARREST WARRANT for FAIL TO REGISTER – SEX OFFENDER for Jonathan Larry Price.
Price had absconded from the State of Mississippi and Tishomingo County for not reporting his address as mandated by state statue. Price last reported to law enforcement on February 4, 2016 with an address of 305 Adams Street in Iuka, Mississippi. The U.S. Marshals were able to locate Price at a residence in Crump, Tennessee and was successfully brought back to the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department.
Jonathan Larry Price, 235 Bordon Loop Crump, Tennessee, 35 year-old, white male, was officially charged with Fail to Register – Sex Offender and was issued a professional bond in the amount of $10,000.00. Price is currently still in jail due to a Mississippi Department of Corrections hold being placed against him.
Sheriff John Daugherty would like to publicly thank both Burnsville Police Department as well as the United States Marshals for their assistance in keeping Tishomingo County a safer place to live.
