IUKA MAN ARRESTED AGAIN FOR DRUGS
January 5, 2018
On January 3, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway in the Iuka area. The deputies verified that the vehicle did not belong to the residence by the home owner, so the deputies were able to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver and passenger were asked to step out of the vehicle and during a search for contraband on the driver and passenger, deputies found what appeared to be several bags of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE on the driver. At this time the driver was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
JOSEPH WIGGINTON, 29-year-old, white male of 1108 South Pearl Street Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) – ENHANCED. WIGGINTON’s charge was enhanced due to being within 1,500 feet of Iuka Middle School at the time of being stopped. WIGGINTON’s bond was set by Justice Court at $3,500. WIGGINTON is currently out on a previous FELONY drug charge, which was also for METHAMPHETAMINE.
